At Kaaryasaathi, we strive to ensure every booking is completed to your satisfaction. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are issued for payments made through our platform, including via PhonePe and other supported payment methods.
1. Cancellation by the Client
You may cancel a booking through the Kaaryasaathi app before the Tasker's confirmed arrival time.
Free Cancellation: Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the scheduled service start time are eligible for a full refund.
Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled service start time may attract a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the booking amount. The remaining amount will be refunded.
No-Show: If the client is unavailable at the service location at the scheduled time without prior cancellation, the booking amount may not be refunded.
2. Cancellation by the Tasker
In the rare event that a Tasker cancels a confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. Kaaryasaathi will also make reasonable efforts to find an alternate Tasker for your requirement at no additional cost.
Repeated cancellations by a Tasker may result in suspension or removal from the platform.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be issued in the following situations:
Service Not Rendered: If the booked service was not performed due to a Tasker no-show or platform error, you are entitled to a full refund.
Unsatisfactory Service: If the service quality falls significantly below the described standard, you may raise a dispute within 24 hours of service completion. Kaaryasaathi will investigate and, if the complaint is found valid, issue a partial or full refund at our discretion.
Duplicate Payment: If a duplicate charge occurs due to a technical error during payment processing, the extra amount will be refunded in full.
Payment Gateway Failure: In cases where a payment is deducted but the booking is not confirmed due to a PhonePe or network error, the amount will be automatically refunded within 5โ7 business days.
4. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- The service was completed as agreed and the client is dissatisfied due to personal preference (not a service quality failure). - The client provided incorrect information (address, timing, or requirements) leading to a failed service. - Cancellation is made after the Tasker has arrived at the service location. - The booking was for a one-time discounted or promotional offer explicitly marked as non-refundable. - Disputes raised more than 24 hours after service completion.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
1. Open the Kaaryasaathi app and navigate to My Bookings. 2. Select the relevant booking and tap Report Issue or Request Refund. 3. Describe the issue and attach supporting photos or details if applicable. 4. Our support team will review your request within 48 business hours.

6. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a refund is approved, the amount will be credited back to your original payment method within the following timeframes:
PhonePe Wallet: 1โ2 business days.
UPI (linked bank account): 3โ5 business days.
Debit / Credit Card: 5โ7 business days.
Net Banking: 3โ7 business days.
Kaaryasaathi is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or payment gateway intermediaries once the refund has been initiated from our end.
7. Subscription & Platform Fees
Any platform service fee or convenience fee charged by Kaaryasaathi at the time of booking is non-refundable, except in cases where the service was not rendered due to a confirmed Tasker no-show or a technical error on our part.
8. Disputes & Escalations
If you are unsatisfied with the resolution provided by our support team, you may escalate your complaint to grievance@kaaryasathi.com. We are committed to resolving all disputes fairly and within 7 business days of escalation.
Kaaryasaathi complies with all applicable regulations of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007, with respect to payment processing and refunds.
9. Changes to This Policy
Kaaryasaathi reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
